2026 Supplier Selection Survey

Landing page

Hello Michaela:

Thank you for taking approximately 15 minutes of your day to participate in this timely study. Your input contributes to research conducted by faculty at The Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve University, and Erasmus University.

This study is focused on how you would make supplier selection decisions in a stylized, yet realistic scenario. Such an ‘experiment’ study is different from regular surveys that collect details about your actual work situation.

In the experiment, you are asked to act as a buyer of Vireon Motors, a U.S. carmaker that sells passenger cars. Specifically, you will be presented with 16 pairs of supplier offers, and for each pair you need to select your preferred offer: in most cases, there is no objectively best offer. Some pairs may appear similar, but please pay attention to the existing differences.
  • All participants may opt-in to receive a summary of the results of this study at the end of the experiment.
  • All responses will be confidential, and all reporting will be done only in aggregate.
  • Once you complete the experiment, you can opt-in for a drawing to win one of the $200 Amazon gift cards. The more diligently you answer the questions, the higher chances of you winning a gift card.
We recommend that you take this experiment on a laptop/desktop. Please note that some questions may not function correctly on mobile devices.

By starting this experiment, you indicate your consent to participate in this study. If you have any technical or other issues, please reach out to me (links in the signature block below).

Thank you again!
